Dirty Dayz 2022
Dirty Dayz 2022 is gone but not forgotten, mostly because of all the beautiful memories written in bruises on our bodies and livers. This year was definitely the year of great racing and a whole bunch of insane new riders!
The Matumi forest, Boarder-X and Opens Boarder-X saw tire to tire racing from the top of the tracks all the way to the finish line.
On Friday Free for All took place down the Matumi forest, which is a shotgun start hare scramble and after the racing, a braai at the bottom of the 5km run next to the Mac Mac river.
Results:
Queen of the Hill - Court Gibson
King of the Hill - Quisto van Greunen
The Boarder-X races took place on Saturday in Sabie with over 30 boarders racing for a shot at the National title. 2022 was also the 1st year we had our groms joining the party which gave the junior riders a chance to race in their own national championship race. After some incredible racing we disappeared into the forest for our Freestyle Jam Session in-between the pines. Riders of all levels of riding were throwing down some really creative tricks and wowed the crowed and the judges bordering the track. Boarder-X Opens was the last race of the weekend which saw only three brave souls taking on this behemoth of a race track.
